The Third Year Theatre and Music Theatre Graduands are proud and pumped to present the graduating classes in performances as shown below!

In past years these performances have been somewhat inaccessible to outside audiences. but this year the performers have taken care to avoid private jokes and any explicit references. They are putting together a showcase of scenes and songs that all audiences will love and appreciate!

The talented young triple threats will take to the stage to showcase highlights from their time at WAAPA in one of their final performances at this prestigious institution; a show that is not to be missed!

Earlier this month, Gillian Cosgriff commented on Facebook

“In news that is still UNBELIEVABLE to me, I’m super excited to let you know I’ll be in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I’m thrilled and delighted and chuffed and I’m going to nerd out SO hard over every single thing.”

After graduating from WAAPA in 2010 with a Bachelor of Music Theatre, Gillian wrote her debut show, Waitressing…And Other Things I Do Well, which debuted at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival and went on to tour nationally. She recorded an EP of original songs from the show with Luckiest Records, which was released on iTunes in 2011.

We are so excited for her and to read more about her story, head over to www.gilliancosgriff.com

We feel that the best way to get feedback is from our members and to that end we’d like to ask whether you’re interested in joining a small group for about 2 hours on three separate occasions during the year?

The agenda and some questions will be supplied and the sessions chaired by a member of the committee.

Briefly, the get-togethers have been labelled as a ‘think tank’ and will be held in a meeting room at WAAPA during a week-day, for approximately two hours, in two to three-monthly intervals.

The only requirements are to be a financial member of the Friends of the Academy, and to be prepared to think laterally and to explore new ideas for fundraising and membership.

If you feel that you fit the bill and would like to participate, send an email with your name and a short note of about 100 or 150 words outlining why you’d like to be part of the Friends ‘think-tank’ for 2018.

The closing date for submissions will be Saturday 16 June at 9.00 am.

PLEASE NOTE: That only submissions via email will be accepted. Send emails to kevin@bellamy.com.au
